‘Haircut’ is the latest single from West London five-piece Lip Filler. The band have established a unique sound that finds itself somewhere between DIY indie and danceable modern punk, without fear of electronic influences. It’s driven by soaring guitar lines and held together by a tight bass and drum kit rhythm section. On the track’s video, the band explain: “The concept of the video was one that we’d had brewing for a little while and (being the case with most of our ideas) it took a while to refine and logically plan out. For our first video - we wanted to ensure we captured who we all are as people and more importantly as a band. We did this by splitting the video so that some of the scenes were shot in our hometown and the rest were shot in our kitchen.” The band live together above a chicken shop in Shepherds Bush and are set to release a debut project via Chess Club Records later in 2023. -Dan Peeke.
